Anti-cut underwear is a specialized protective garment designed specifically for alpine skiing, where there is a risk of being cut by sharp ski edges. Made from cut-resistant materials such as aramid or polyethylene, anti-cut underwear effectively protects against serious injuries that can occur during falls or collisions on the slopes. Due to growing concerns about athlete safety, anti-cut underwear will be introduced as a mandatory requirement in top-level ski competitions starting from the 2025/26 season. This innovation aims to enhance athlete protection and minimize the risk of injuries.
